Summary: Ulster Farmhouse

Key dates:

The slated roof was a more common sight by the beginning of the 19th century, but thatch was still preferred in some parts of Ulster, particularly in the west. This farmhouse in Co. Tyrone with its rectangular shape and white walls was a common sight over much of rural Ulster.
