Summary: Queen’s Bridge Belfast

Key dates:

This photograph of the Queen’s Bridge in Belfast which was taken in 1909 gives some indication of the continued importance of horse-drawn vehicles in Belfast. Bulky goods such as coal were still moved from the docks by the slow carts which can clearly be seen in the foreground.
