Summary: Portrush Railway Station

Key dates:

The link between the railways and the jaunting cars can be seen clearly in this photograph of Portrush railway station. The railways allowed people from all over Ulster, particularly Belfast, to visit holiday towns like Portrush. On their arrival at the station they were taken to local hotels and guest-houses by jaunting cars.
